Here I finished with the staining of the headstock and the body and neck. I just need to spray on the lacquer and I'm on my way to the final stages.

Finishing stages of custom guitar build
Bass Guitar neck pocket re-route
Here is a bass guitar that I was given to route a new pocket for a 5 string bass neck. The body was originally made for a 4 string.
Here is the finished guitar that the customer painted and put together himself. I did the neck pocket re-route, Fret dress, setup, intonation and tuning. I think everything turned out really well.Sunday, November 27, 2011

DIY Headphone amp with volume knob
Recently I have been working on small electronics. Through the help of generalguitargadgets.com, pedalparts.com and Radio Shack I have put together a small guitar amp. I used an old Gibson pickup box and a generic circuit board. I already had most of the parts so I probably spent around $5 or so. I'm sure someone could build one for about $15-20 if they used a nice pedal box and other parts from the sites I referenced. I also modded the schematics by adding a volume control. I got the easy schematics from generalguitargadgets.com. This amp has clean and distortion. I will post other DIY projects in the near future.
